Activities around Lake Oshu
The Isawa Dam, completed in 2013, is one of the largest central-core rock-fill dams in Japan. The Isawa River and its dammed lake, Lake Oshu, together with the Yakeishi Beach Line (primeval beech forest) provide a healing space in each of the four seasons, and activities such as rafting and SUP can be experienced during the summer months.
Isawa River Rafting
The Isawa River, fed by the Ou Mountains, offers fast-paced whitewater rafting.
